Federal Pell Grants

Federal Pell Grants are available to eligible students. The amount of the grant is based on the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as determined by the FAFSA and enrollment status. Awards are limited to the 1st undergraduate degree. For first time recipients after July 1, 2008, the Pell Grant is limited to 18 full time terms. Two half time enrollment terms = one full time enrollment term. Students may not receive Pell Grant for more than 18 full time terms. Effective with the 2009-10 award year, students may be eligible for Pell Grant during the summer term. Please review our policy regarding how AU will administer these new Pell regulations. More information about Pell grants is available from the Federal Guide to Student Aid.
