PAYMENT

Payment may be made by cash, check, money order, credit card or financial aid.  Checks and money orders should be made payable to UMC-Student Accounting.  We take Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.  Click here to pay online.

You also may access our interactive voice response (IVR) payment line by calling 1-866-372-3396.  This service is available 24/7 and provides your account balance.  This service is only a payment vehicle and is not directly linked to your student account.  The balances given over the interactive payment line are not immediately updated when you make a payment.  These balances are only updated weekly.  Your payment, however, will be posted to your student account the next business day.

Payments may be mailed to the following address:

UMC-Office of Student Accounting

2500 North State Street
Jackson, MS 39216-4505

PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH IN THE MAIL.

Include the student’s name and the last 4 digits of the social security number on all payments.

Payments also may be made in person in the Office of Student Accounting.

Please note that credit card payments will be accepted only if you have outstanding charges on your account.  If a credit card payment is made online and the student has no balance on the tuition account, the payment will be refunded to the credit card.  At no time will credit card payments result in a refund check being issued to the student.

Please see BILLING for details regarding the payment of past due accounts.

Students who have applied for financial aid will see the aid noted on their bills.  If the aid is insufficient to pay the entire account balance, the remaining amount must be paid by the payment deadline.  Aid is automatically applied to outstanding charges.  Aid in excess of charges is refunded to the student.  Please be advised that not all aid is available at the same time especially aid that is coming from outside sources.  If the aid is reflected on the bill and sufficient to pay the balance due, then no other payment is not required.  If you are planning to decline all or part of the financial aid award that is listed on your bill, then you should be prepared to pay all charges that will not be paid by financial aid.
